Additive Manufacturing Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. A Shift follows a 4-10 schedule starting in November, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.

Hourly pay range: $28.46–$35.58 USD.

What you will do

• Prepare and operate metal additive manufacturing equipment using LPBF, DED, and hybrid technologies.
• Set up print jobs, perform printer calibration, and interpret findings with engineering.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, optical laser, electrical, build, and process issues.
• Inspect printed parts and builds using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plates, and other measurement tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance, post-processing inspections, and 5S activities.
• Collaborate with engineering on new hardware, process improvements, and non-conformance resolution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including drills, chisels, and taps.
• Experience with inspection methods using surface plates, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Experience operating machine tools or equipment such as vertical mills, lathes, media blasters, cranes, or forklifts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• For U.S. office work, eligibility under ITAR requirements is necessary, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylum status, or applicable government authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience operating EOS, SLM, or DMG metal 3D printers.
