Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday

Salary: $196,750–$243,290 USD base pay annually

What you will do

• Prototype and implement advanced AI and machine learning solutions for core platform features.
• Develop and deploy deep learning, generative AI, and multimodal models for complex technical challenges.
• Translate research concepts into scalable, production-ready systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with applied researchers, engineers, and product teams from ideation through deployment and publication.
• Build ML solutions that improve engagement, safety, and growth of the content ecosystem.

Requirements

• Possess or pursue a PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a thesis aligned to the relevant research areas.
• Deep expertise in deep learning, computer vision, NLP, reinforcement learning, distributed systems, or a related domain.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, C++, Go, or Java.
• Experience building and optimizing large-scale systems.
• Multiple publications and presentations in rigorous peer-reviewed venues.
