Global Immersive Content Lead (Spatial Computing)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; office work expected 4+ days per week under the “default together” policy

Salary: $190,000–$284,000 annual base salary for Zone A locations, including California; equity in the form of RSUs is also available.

What you will do

• Own the global immersive content strategy for SPECS across industries, audiences, content categories, and priority workflows.
• Identify, evaluate, source, license, and prioritize educational, professional, technical, and enterprise content for immersive delivery.
• Build relationships with publishers, education providers, professional associations, training organizations, and other rights holders.
• Establish repeatable frameworks for rights clearance, licensing, attribution, content security, geographic availability, renewals, and permitted uses.
• Translate traditional curricula, manuals, training materials, and reference content into immersive experiences using spatial computing, hands-free access, and natural interaction.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, Lens Studio, legal, marketing, partnerships, and sales teams to develop scalable content tools, formats, APIs, workflows, and launch plans.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in content strategy, content transformation, publishing, education technology, digital learning, partnerships, business development, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience creating, acquiring, licensing, distributing, or transforming educational, professional, technical, or enterprise content.
• Experience working with content owners, publishers, education providers, rights holders, or organizations controlling valuable intellectual property.
• Experience building content ecosystem strategies and leading cross-functional programs across product, design, engineering, legal, business affairs, marketing, partnerships, and sales.
• Experience negotiating or supporting complex content, technology, distribution, licensing, or strategic partnership agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; willingness to travel within the United States and globally for partner meetings, customer engagements, workshops, and industry events.

Nice to have

• Experience with augmented reality, mixed reality, spatial computing, smart glasses, wearable computing, or immersive learning.
• Experience in higher education, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, publishing, professional training, or technical content organizations.
• Familiarity with content management systems, learning management systems, digital asset management, metadata standards, localization, accessibility, and content operations.
• Experience building ecosystems with publishers, universities, training providers, software platforms, systems integrators, or industry associations.
• Previous experience at Microsoft HoloLens, Magic Leap, Meta, or a comparable AR/XR organization.
