Senior Social Engineering Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Manage the governance, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of global and targeted social engineering simulations.
• Own phishing campaigns end to end, including scenario development, targeting, technical preparation, quality assurance, scheduling, incident handling, and reporting.
• Translate threat intelligence and observed attack patterns into safe, credible simulations across email, telephone, messaging, collaboration tools, QR codes, and physical approaches.
• Operate simulation platforms and supporting infrastructure, including templates, sending domains, landing pages, reporting mechanisms, targeting, and data integrations.
• Define behavioural resilience metrics, analyse trends across countries and business units, and build dashboards with actionable risk insights.
• Coordinate with privacy, legal, compliance, HR, communications, technology, local CISO organisations, and business leaders to improve resilience without creating a culture of blame.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, phishing simulation, social engineering testing, security awareness, threat-led testing, or a comparable field.
• Hands-on experience managing phishing simulation campaigns at scale using enterprise phishing simulation or human-risk management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of social engineering techniques and email technologies, including sender authentication, mail routing, secure email gateways, URL protection, browser controls, and reporting mechanisms.
• Experience translating threat intelligence into realistic scenarios and analysing campaign data into risk insights and recommendations.
• Strong programme management, stakeholder engagement, communication, ownership, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Fluent English is required; the role is based in Madrid with hybrid attendance at ING MAD.

• Experience with additional simulation channels, behavioural change, data analysis, automation, or scripting.
