TL;DR
Tech Lead (Node.js) (High-Load Platforms/AI): Owns the architecture and technical direction of a high-load platform for third-party integrations, real-time data processing, reporting, and internal AI tooling with an accent on distributed systems, performance, reliability, and coding-agent adoption. Focus on validating designs through load testing, improving observability and incident diagnosis, building reusable agent workflows, and strengthening engineering practices across teams.
Location: Limassol, Cyprus; office-based role

What you will do
- Own platform architecture across services, data flows, and third-party integrations, balancing reliability, performance, security, and ease of change.
- Set performance and capacity targets and validate critical designs through prototypes, benchmarks, and load testing.
- Establish engineering standards, testing practices, and technical review criteria across multiple teams.
- Improve observability and incident diagnosis for production systems.
- Lead the adoption of coding agents, including delegation and verification practices, shared instructions, workflows, skills, and MCP integrations.
- Prioritize technical debt, reliability, and performance work while remaining hands-on with production code, proofs of concept, pairing, and technical reviews.
Requirements
- Experience owning technical direction across multiple teams and taking architectural decisions into production.
- Deep production experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including runtime behavior, concurrency, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems under load, including service boundaries, consistency, failure handling, and third-party integrations.
- Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis or Valkey, and message brokers such as NATS or Kafka.
- Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience shipping with coding agents, mentoring engineers, influencing without reporting authority, and explaining technical trade-offs in English.
