Junior Information Security Officer

Location: London, England; hybrid working with 40% office-based attendance

What you will do

• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Help monitor compliance with hirify.global policies, security standards, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support internal, customer, regulatory, third-party, and global audits, including certification activities across multiple regions.
• Monitor technology vulnerabilities, security incidents, events, trends, metrics, risks, and remediation activities.
• Support Project Managers and Scrum Masters through the Project Security Assessment process.
• Raise security awareness and coordinate customer security and compliance enquiries with relevant partners.

Requirements

• Interest in Information Security, Risk Management, and Compliance.
• Experience with information security principles and controls.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relationship management skills, including engaging and influencing senior partners.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and risk awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Self-motivated, trustworthy, willing to learn, and able to work independently.

Nice to have

• Qualification, degree, or current studies in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest in developing a career in Information Security, Risk, Compliance, or Audit.
• Awareness of cyber security principles and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials, with relevant certifications or willingness to obtain them.
