What you will do
- Lead and supervise the regional field programme across Europe and Central Asia, including Country Programme Frameworks and projects in countries without offices.
- Manage regional and country projects as Budget Holder, overseeing implementation, forecasting, monitoring, reporting, and resource allocation.
- Advise country offices on project operations, policies and procedures, and capacity strengthening for project implementation.
- Coordinate resource mobilization, South-South Cooperation, partnerships with governments, non-state actors, private-sector organizations, and academia.
- Lead project-cycle support, project appraisal, quality assurance, results monitoring, and results-based management activities.
- Represent at international meetings, lead field missions and training activities, and contribute to regional management and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, business administration, management, or a related field relevant to 's mandate.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in results-based programme or project planning, implementation, monitoring, and appraisal.
- Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another official language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
- Experience managing small-, medium-, or large-scale projects at country and regional levels, including administrative, operational, and financial procedures.
- Experience working in more than one location or area, particularly in field positions, and partnering with resource partners and non-state actors.
- Experience applying results-based management methods and conducting project evaluations; Europe and Central Asia regional experience is a strong asset.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating regional technical commissions into regional programmes.
- Knowledge of field programme issues and experience in the Europe and Central Asia region.
