Senior SRE (Cloud)

Location: London or Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

What you will do

• Own service reliability outcomes by defining, implementing, and measuring SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Improve platform availability, resilience, performance, and developer experience across customer-facing services.
• Eliminate operational toil through automation, self-service capabilities, and improved engineering workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotations, lead technical incident response, and drive root cause analysis with preventative actions.
• Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code, observability, dashboards, alerting, runbooks, and production support standards.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering and cloud infrastructure background with experience operating large-scale production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, multi-cloud platforms, and Kubernetes or container-based platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, telemetry, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Experience with on-call work, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to write production-quality code and automation in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in product development, platform engineering, internal developer platforms, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization.
