Language Teacher – Modern Standard Arabic

Location: Home-based; online group and individual courses are delivered through platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

What you will do

• Conduct placement tests to determine learners’ Modern Standard Arabic proficiency.
• Deliver online individual and group courses in Modern Standard Arabic.
• Teach listening, reading, speaking, and writing at the appropriate proficiency level.
• Maintain syllabi, lesson plans, attendance records, class folders, and activity logs.
• Prepare learner progress reports, including next-level recommendations and pass/fail outcomes.
• Develop course syllabi aligned with CEFR levels and the UN Language Framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Arabic language and/or literature, Arabic language teaching, or a related field from an institution recognized by IAU/UNESCO.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching adults in an international environment, delivering language training, or evaluating language proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic at level C is required.
• Intermediate English at level B is required.
• Experience delivering Modern Standard Arabic courses aligned with the Arabic Language Proficiency Test is expected.
• Ability to maintain schedules for online group and individual courses and communicate effectively with learners.
