Staff Security Engineer, Threat Intelligence (AI)

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, United States

Salary: $190,000–$225,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and commission programs.

What you will do

• Build and scale threat intelligence capabilities across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Track threat actors, campaigns, attack techniques, and adversary TTPs relevant to the environment.
• Translate intelligence into SIEM rules, detection logic, security controls, and improved defensive coverage.
• Integrate threat intelligence into SIEM pipelines, enrichment systems, automation workflows, and operational security tools.
• Support incident response and threat hunting with contextual intelligence, hypotheses, and improved response playbooks.
• Communicate security insights, risks, and adversary activity to technical teams and leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in threat intelligence, security engineering, or detection engineering.
• Strong understanding of threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience translating intelligence into detections, rules, or security controls.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, detection pipelines, threat intelligence platforms, and STIX/TAXII.
• Understanding of cloud environments and modern infrastructure, with experience using automation or AI/ML for intelligence analysis or enrichment.
• Ability to operate at Staff level by driving strategy, influencing detection programs, owning systems, and communicating clearly with technical teams and leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI infrastructure, threat hunting, incident response, SOAR integrations, malware analysis, or advanced threat actor tracking.
