What you will do
- Create subtitle files from scripts, dialogue lists, templates, and source materials.
- Adapt, conform, retime, and synchronize subtitles according to client guidelines.
- Perform linguistic and technical quality assurance for subtitles and accessibility materials, including SDH.
- Verify formatting, style-guide, workflow, and delivery compliance.
- Track assigned work, maintain production documentation, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support troubleshooting of subtitle preparation and delivery issues.
Requirements
- Spanish work authorization is required.
- Native-level Castilian Spanish and fluent English.
- BA in Translation, Linguistics, Audiovisual Translation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in subtitling, audiovisual translation, localization, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with subtitling software and a strong understanding of subtitling, localization, and SDH accessibility workflows.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.
