2027 Software Dev Engineer Intern - Netherlands

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; full-time office work Monday–Friday, typically up to 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate innovative products and scalable, reliable services.
• Break down complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined implementation components.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Write maintainable code and accurate technical documentation.
• Use AI-powered development tools, validate generated code, and apply sound engineering judgment.
• Work with CI/CD practices and contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, on-call, and production operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, including Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• At least one quarter, semester, or trimester of study must remain after the internship ends.
• Availability for office-based work Monday–Friday during typical hirify.global work hours, with no conflicting classes or employment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, learning, and adaptation skills.

Nice to have

• Previous technical internship or demonstrated project experience.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, AI-assisted development tools, open-source projects, or version control systems.
• Demonstrated ownership from design through operation.
