TL;DR
Credit Specialist (Finance): Managing receivables, collections, customer credit risk, and order-to-cash processes with an accent on aging analysis, credit-limit assessment, and cash-flow improvement. Focus on investigating invoice discrepancies, evaluating customer accounts, partnering with Sales to mitigate risk, and improving AR reporting and processes.
Location: Mindelo, Porto, Portugal; hybrid

What you will do
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances.
- Develop collection strategies to support timely customer payments.
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and identify order-to-cash process gaps.
- Assess order releases against credit limits and aging information.
- Evaluate customer credit risk, recommend credit limits, and partner with Sales on risk mitigation.
- Monitor AR KPIs, support reporting, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
- Experience analyzing financial or customer account data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in Portugal, the country of employment.
Nice to have
- Experience using SAP.
- Experience in a multinational organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with credit assessment, collections, or accounts receivable.
