Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud, Container Platforms, and Automation

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid work model. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Coach development and operations teams to improve DevOps maturity, practices, and autonomy.
• Support, optimize, and promote CI/CD tooling and automation across multiple teams.
• Assess application maturity and define targeted improvement strategies.
• Organize workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Contribute to solution studies, technical design decisions, and strategic DevOps transformation initiatives.
• Act as the local manager in Lisbon, coordinating the team and aligning with global management.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, or related fields.
• Strong experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, XL Deploy, Argo CD, and Ansible.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and operating models, plus Python scripting for automation.
• Experience coaching technical teams, facilitating DevOps adoption, and working with Agile methodologies.
• Communicative English is required; French proficiency is preferred.

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience as a team lead, local manager, or technical referent.
