2D Technical Supervisor (AI)

Location: Montréal, Québec, Canada; applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and currently reside in or outside the province of Quebec. Work may be performed at the studio or remotely.

What you will do

• Define and oversee the technical vision for a 12-episode 2D television series.
• Design, implement, and optimize 2D production workflows, pipelines, tools, and processes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across Storyboard, Animatic, Animation, Layout, Compositing, and Editing.
• Develop, test, and integrate pipeline tools, including AI-based solutions that improve production efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance for Storyboard Pro, Harmony, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, AI tools, and character rigs.
• Coordinate technical initiatives, estimates, priorities, schedules, documentation, and cross-department testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical supervision, pipeline development, or a similar role in 2D animation.
• Strong expertise in Storyboard Pro and Harmony.
• Good knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro for 2D production.
• Experience implementing, optimizing, debugging, and troubleshooting production pipelines and workflows.
• Experience developing and integrating tools, supporting character rigs, and working across multiple 2D departments.
• Eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-based tools and integrating them into 2D production workflows.
• Education in Animation, Film, Computer Science, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
