Software Engineer, Tech Lead, Admin Console

Location: Hybrid, 4 days per week in the Mountain View or San Francisco office

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team and provide strong technical direction.
• Own architecture and execution for data-source setup, security configuration, deployment management, and feature rollout controls.
• Develop the Admin Console into a broader control plane for enterprise context, actions, governance, and AI capabilities.
• Improve self-serve activation and help administrators deploy organizations with less dependence on support.
• Improve visibility into crawl health, connector status, indexing progress, permissions, and rollout readiness.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, connector, infrastructure, and security teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, enterprise platforms, admin consoles, or similarly configurable products.
• Experience with products involving usability, governance, permissions, and technical complexity.
• Experience mentoring frontend and backend engineers and leading projects or team execution.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
