Bid Manager (Air Transport)

Location: Truccazzano, Milan, Italy

Starting salary: €40,000 gross annual base salary, excluding incentives, allowances, non-discretionary payments, and country-specific benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of unsolicited bids, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Build proposal plans, analyze risks, coordinate timelines, and ensure accurate and timely customer deliverables.
• Lead virtual bid teams, proposal contributors, subcontractor and partner coordination, and cross-functional reviews.
• Analyze tenders, customer requirements, commercial conditions, scope, risks, and qualification criteria.
• Develop bid and proposal strategies, facilitate storyboarding and planning sessions, and coach presentation teams.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure a clear handover from the bid team to project delivery after contract award.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a numerate, business, or languages discipline, or significant relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of commercial industry experience, ideally in IT, telecommunications, air transport, or managed services.
• At least 2 years of bid and proposal experience, including proposal or bid management and vendor-side exposure.
• Experience building relationships with senior managers and coordinating multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of proposal management processes, pre-proposal planning, strategy development, storyboarding, and strategic proposal writing.
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
