Senior Quantum Field Engineer - Singapore (Quantum Computing)

Location: Singapore. Travel: 40%.

What you will do

• Lead customer-facing technical discussions, demonstrations, and discovery sessions across hirify.global's quantum computing, networking, security, sensing, and space portfolio.
• Translate customer business needs into technical projects and collaborate with Applications teams on quantum algorithms, application code, and proofs of concept.
• Use Python and quantum SDKs to prototype, adapt, and explain quantum algorithms for specific customer use cases.
• Guide customers from early ideation through technical exploration, proof-of-concept development, and potential production workflows.
• Share customer and market insights with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Developer Relations, and Business Development teams.
• Support conferences, events, and awareness-building activities across Singapore and the wider APAC market.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as field engineering, solutions architecture, technical sales, customer engineering, or applied science.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or another relevant STEM field.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Qiskit, Cirq, or another quantum computing SDK.
• Practical experience with existing quantum algorithms and mapping them to real customer problems.
• Strong customer-facing communication, technical communication, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to handle competitive objections.
• Access to certain technologies may require U.S. person verification, an export-control license, or confirmation of a license exception.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM field.
• Experience delivering customer proofs of concept from early exploration through working code.
• Industry experience in financial services, bioscience, chemistry, materials, or optimisation.
• Executive presence and experience representing a business at client meetings, events, and conferences.
• Broader software architecture skills.
