TL;DR
Backend Software Engineer (AI): Creating realistic coding tasks, implementing and debugging backend features, and building deterministic verifiers for AI training projects with an accent on backend development, APIs, and code quality. Focus on optimizing application performance, refactoring complex codebases, and validating coding solutions through automated testing.
Location: Remote; flexible schedule of approximately 15 hours per week, including weekends.

What you will do
- Create realistic and challenging coding tasks for AI systems.
- Implement and fix features across production-style codebases.
- Build deterministic verifiers to validate coding solutions.
- Debug issues, optimize application performance, and refactor code while maintaining reliability.
- Review code and assess the quality of proposed solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Java, Rust, C++, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Backend development and API experience.
- Experience with debugging, bug fixing, performance optimization, and automated testing.
- Code review, refactoring, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
- Experience working with large or complex codebases.
- Experience implementing complex features and resolving technical issues.
- Strong technical communication and attention to detail.
