TL;DR
Java Developer (Fintech): Building secure, scalable backend services and third-party integrations for a banking SuperApp with an accent on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. Focus on integrating external APIs, designing reliable distributed solutions, optimizing database queries, and resolving production and performance issues.
Location: Baku, Azerbaijan; remote, hybrid, or employer-office work options are available
Additional earnings of up to €1,000 per month may be included in the annual bonus depending on expertise.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and REST APIs for external partner integrations.
- Build secure, scalable integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services, including authentication, data transformation, validation, and error handling.
- Contribute to microservice architecture, technical decisions, monitoring, logging, testing, and integration reliability.
- Collaborate with mobile developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, product teams, and external partners.
- Investigate integration issues, production incidents, and performance problems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial Java development experience and strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and backend services.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, integration patterns, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Practical experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL, and query optimization.
- Experience with REST, JSON, authentication, data mapping, Git, CI/CD, Docker, unit testing, and code reviews.
- English at Intermediate+ level or above.
Nice to have
- Experience in banking or other fintech projects.
- Relevant professional certifications such as AWS or PMP.
