Kotlin Developer (Fintech)

Location: Remote, Baku

Develops software for customers in the US and Europe and brings together approximately 300 professionals across Eastern Europe, North and South America, Armenia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.

What you will do

• Design and evolve banking APIs for mobile applications and internal and external services.
• Build scalable backend solutions with Kotlin and modern JVM technologies.
• Contribute to the architecture, scalability, and reliability of core banking and partner platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the JVM ecosystem with strong Kotlin or Java expertise.
• Deep understanding of concurrency and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with clean architecture, DDD, and event-driven approaches.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and their trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably in AWS.
• Strong spoken English at Intermediate level or higher.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in platform engineering.
• Database performance optimization experience.
• Functional programming background.
• Experience building internal libraries, SDKs, or developer tools.
