Caseworker

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA; hybrid schedule with office work typically 4 days per week, remote work 1 day per week, and field work as needed. Weekend and evening availability may be required.

Pay rate: $26.80 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services, including housing, food, medical care, transportation, and community orientation.
• Purchase essential items, prepare homes, conduct airport pickups and home visits, and provide grocery and public transportation orientations.
• Conduct client intake, assess needs, develop self-sufficiency plans, and provide direct services, referrals, and advocacy.
• Monitor client progress, address barriers, and connect clients with eligible financial, medical, social, vocational, and other resources.
• Document client interactions, maintain databases, support reporting, and complete program quality assurance activities.
• Build relationships with clients, colleagues, partner organizations, and local service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations, including casework or pre-arrival services, required.
• Experience navigating program eligibility requirements and documenting service delivery.
• Fluent spoken and written English required; proficiency in languages spoken by client groups is strongly desired.
• Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, networking, communication, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a personal insured vehicle, and ability to drive passenger vehicles and lift or carry items weighing 50+ pounds.
