Software Engineer (Ruby)

Location: Home Worker - Poland; hybrid model with three days in the office

What you will do

• Build and maintain technology powering the retail brokerage business and other business initiatives.
• Work primarily with Ruby across backend systems, trading client applications, and other parts of the technology stack.
• Modify existing systems, take ownership of current systems, and contribute to greenfield projects.
• Translate requirements and technical direction into production-quality code.
• Write comprehensive tests, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to junior team members through implementation support and peer reviews.
• Contribute to light infrastructure work and continue developing ownership of the business's systems.

Requirements

• Professional experience working as a software engineer on a team.
• Production experience and mastery of at least one relevant language or framework.
• Ability to learn quickly and willingness to adopt new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Capability to work independently on smaller tasks and contribute to larger projects with guidance from senior engineers.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with three days in the office in Poland.
