Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in NYC, working in person five days a week at the SoHo office

Salary: $160,000–$300,000 per year, covering levels from junior to principal

What you will do

• Design and build agent-facing web interfaces for streaming output, real-time progress, citations, provenance, checkpoints, and approval flows.
• Own frontend architecture for data-dense, real-time surfaces handling hundreds of companies and thousands of documents.
• Contribute to mobile experiences for finance professionals on iOS.
• Build streaming and real-time endpoints, agent state and session APIs, MCP tools, and integrations required by the interfaces.
• Partner with applied researchers to launch and iterate on new agentic capabilities.
• Own accessibility, telemetry, testing, performance budgets, and a scalable design system across web and mobile.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years building production frontends at a venture-backed startup or top technology firm.
• Expertise in TypeScript and React, including rendering performance, state management, data fetching, and real-time patterns.
• Comfort working across the stack with APIs, asynchronous services, and backend systems.
• Strong product sense and design taste, with the ability to work closely with designers and product managers.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; frequent use of AI products during development.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping native mobile applications and managing the App Store release cycle.
• Experience building LLM- or agent-facing products.
