Senior Associate, Merchant (Outdoor Furniture)

Location: Hybrid role based at hirify.global’s Boston headquarters; Monday–Thursday in office and Friday working from home. Travel to industry trade shows, supplier visits, and retail stores is expected, with occasional international travel.

Annual base pay: $83,500–$92,250.

What you will do

• Build and maintain assortment strategies for hirify.global Verified outdoor furniture and fire products.
• Develop shelf-space plans, select products, and iterate on the product offering based on market and customer insights.
• Audit and vet products, create product-quality rubrics, and maintain consistent evaluation standards.
• Own financial results for products placed in premium shelf spaces and adapt assortment and allocation strategies based on performance.
• Partner with Planning & Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Category Management, Curation Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, leadership, and suppliers.
• Establish frameworks and targets for physical retail assortment strategies and ensure execution through to the customer.

Requirements

• Approximately 4+ years of experience in ecommerce or corporate retail, preferably in buying, retail merchandising, or home-furnishing planning.
• Strong interest in buying or supplier relationship management, with knowledge of industry trends, style, and product design.
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt evolving GenAI tools in daily merchandising workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and build internal and external relationships.
• Strong organization, prioritization, attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to achieve target goals.
• Applicants must be able to work from the Boston office on Monday through Thursday.
