Accountant - Fund Accounting (Financial Reporting): Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, VAT returns, and client accounting deliverables across multiple jurisdictions with an accent on IFRS, reporting accuracy, and client service. Focus on reviewing accounting work, supporting audits, coaching junior colleagues, and managing complex client portfolios.
Location: Moka, Mauritius; hybrid working arrangement

What you will do
- Own a portfolio of clients and deliver accounting and financial reporting services across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, accounting records, and client deliverables.
- Review bookkeeping entries and perform bank, investment, and other reconciliations.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and support client accounting activities.
- Work with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders to complete financial statement audits and maintain strong client relationships.
- Review the work of Junior and Assistant Accountants, provide technical guidance, and support accounting projects and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification, or relevant accounting experience at a similar technical level.
- Experience preparing and reviewing client accounts, financial statements, and management accounts in accounting, audit, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills for collaboration with clients, auditors, and colleagues.
- Experience in private equity, real estate, corporate services, or a related professional environment is beneficial.
