Data Engineer II (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Houston, Texas office; candidates must be local to Houston and able to travel onsite to meet clients.

What you will do

• Partner with Solution Architects and subject matter experts to understand client requirements and define queries.
• Develop custom data extractors using Python, Spark, and REST APIs.
• Customize database extractors with SQL and implement event streaming with Kafka.
• Deploy data solutions using Docker and create custom models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing.
• Collaborate with product development to turn customer needs into product opportunities.
• Prototype data visualizations and dashboards.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• 7+ years of experience in a data-intensive role.
• Experience in oil and gas and/or manufacturing is required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with ETL, SQL, Python, data analysis, or data science.
• Ability to work on internal and client-facing projects, communicate with stakeholders, and travel onsite to meet clients.
