Accounting Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid model with 40% remote work and flexible working hours

What you will do

• Manage daily accounting operations, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
• Support supplier invoice process automation and improve invoice management workflows.
• Assist with periodic tax filings and prepare documentation for annual audits.
• Detect accounting inconsistencies and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to maintain reliable financial data.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and scale accounting processes.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a similar role.
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, including bank reconciliations and accounts payable/accounts receivable.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Full professional proficiency in Spanish and high-level English.
• Strong organization, prioritization, ownership, communication, and process-improvement skills.

• Experience with Business Central.
