Product Engineer (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Own product initiatives spanning multiple components and teams, from problem framing through post-launch data analysis.
• Define measurable success criteria for ambiguous product problems and make trade-offs across speed, quality, scalability, and risk.
• Build and improve products that help leaders engage audiences, including new interaction formats and integrations with external work-planning tools.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and users through interviews, support-ticket analysis, and session observation.
• Use AI agents daily across research, design, implementation, and code review as part of an agentic development lifecycle.
• Develop real-time systems capable of handling transaction loads of hundreds of votes per second.

Requirements

• Strong end-to-end TypeScript experience and genuine backend capability, including data modeling, API development, and real-time delivery.
• Experience with React and Next.js; familiarity with backend migration from Ruby to Next.js and TypeScript is relevant.
• Ability to work across product discovery, technical direction, implementation, testing, and production outcomes.
• Comfort working independently in ambiguous, early-stage product environments and across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• English-first working environment; applications and relevant documents must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redpanda, Vercel, AWS, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience building high-scale or real-time products.
• Practical experience using AI tools beyond autocomplete to improve engineering work.
