Health and Safety Support (Manufacturing)

Location: Primarily on-site at the Orăștie factory, Romania

What you will do

• Implement and monitor Romanian Health & Safety requirements in line with legislation and company standards.
• Conduct workplace inspections, occupational risk assessments, internal audits, and incident or near-miss investigations.
• Identify unsafe conditions, define corrective and preventive actions, and monitor them through completion.
• Develop and maintain Health & Safety documentation, risk assessments, work instructions, and mandatory records.
• Deliver Health & Safety training and provide practical guidance to employees, contractors, and operational stakeholders.
• Support fire prevention, emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, and the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience in Occupational Health & Safety, preferably in manufacturing, production, engineering, logistics, or another operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian Occupational Health & Safety legislation and the ability to convert legal requirements into practical workplace measures.
• Relevant SSM qualification under Romanian legal requirements or a qualifying Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience with risk assessments, workplace inspections, internal audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Professional proficiency in Romanian and English and availability to work primarily on-site at the Orăștie factory.

Nice to have

• Risk assessment training or certification.
• Cadru Tehnic PSI or another relevant Fire Safety qualification.
• Environmental Responsible qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
