Freelance Event Specialist (Events & Social Impact): Managing on-site logistics for in-person volunteering, team-building, and social impact events in Bucharest with an accent on event preparation, guest check-in, staffing coordination, and customer experience. Focus on solving real-time operational issues, coordinating partners and event teams, and setting up, supporting, and breaking down events under flexible conditions.
Location: Bucharest, Romania. On-site, in-person work for candidates already based in Bucharest; no relocation package is offered. The role may require travel within the local region, including nights and weekends.

What you will do
- Attend virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit organizations, event hosts, coordinators, and other stakeholders.
- Lead on-site event execution, including setup, team alignment, guest check-in, customer experience, and teardown.
- Coordinate roles and responsibilities across venues, nonprofit partners, event hosts, staff, and corporate partners.
- Represent at events and solve operational issues involving supplies, staffing, technology, and event logistics.
- Provide event updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team and escalate issues when needed.
- Pack supplies, apply shipping labels, load boxes, clean event areas, and return materials to the distribution center.
Requirements
- Must already be based in Bucharest, Romania.
- Fluent English and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience delivering complex large-scale events and smaller executive-level events.
- Resourcefulness, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Experience with group facilitation, group dynamics, customer service, and relationship building.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, travel locally, stand for extended periods, and lift, slide, or carry up to 30 lbs.
