Operational Language Analyst (Turkish)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph are required.

Pay range: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year.

What you will do

• Process voice and graphic foreign-language materials in support of SIGINT operations.
• Translate, transcribe, and gist Turkish materials into clear, idiomatic English.
• Identify and extract essential elements of information.
• Support mission reporting through accurate and timely language analysis.
• Use standard tools and databases for analysis and reporting.
• At senior levels, perform quality control, mentor colleagues, and analyze complex language data.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph are required.
• OLA Level 1: High school diploma or GED, ILR Level 2 audio and/or text translation within two years, and two years of cryptologic language processing experience.
• OLA Level 2: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, ILR Level 3 translation within two years, and four years of cryptologic language processing experience.
• OLA Level 3: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ILR Level 3 translation within two years, and ten years of combined relevant experience.
• OLA Level 4: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ILR Level 3 in both audio and text translation within two years, and fifteen years of combined relevant experience.
• Depending on level, experience must include translation, transcription, gisting, Turkish-language work, quality control, reporting, and one year of English-keyboard typing.
