Senior Accountant - GL

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Perform General Ledger postings, account clearings, and month-end closing activities for assigned entities.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Support GL Controllers by maintaining accurate and compliant accounting records.
• Partner with Finance colleagues, auditors, and business teams to resolve accounting issues and deliver reliable reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements while maintaining controls, compliance, and high-quality financial data.

Requirements

• Experience in General Ledger accounting or transferable Finance experience from AP, AR, or Record-to-Report environments.
• Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet activities, and month-end processes.
• Hands-on SAP experience is essential.
• Clear English communication skills are required for collaboration across countries and functions.
• Hybrid work from the Prague workplace, averaging 3 days per week in the office.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Exposure to BlackLine, shared service centers, statutory reporting, or international accounting environments.
