TL;DR
Metering Methods Engineer (Oil & Gas): Maintaining and improving fiscal, well test, gas, water injection, and other metering systems across onshore and offshore JV sites in Port Harcourt with an accent on meter proving, calibration, flow verification, and regulatory compliance. Focus on coordinating contractors, maintaining metering documentation and materials, validating measurement reliability, and enforcing HSE requirements.

Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria; open to Nigerian nationals only

hirify.global is recruiting for an operator specializing in oil and gas projects, with metering maintenance activities across onshore and offshore JV sites.

What you will do

  • Maintain and improve fiscal, well test, gas lift, gas injection, fuel gas, and water injection metering systems.
  • Coordinate periodic meter proving, prover loop calibration, flow verification campaigns, and portable ultrasonic measurements.
  • Update metering manuals, operating procedures, PM documentation, flow-rate equations, bills of materials, and functional locations in UNISUP and DCS systems.
  • Manage metering materials, spare parts, consumables, stock levels, technical purchase specifications, and five-week look-ahead planning.
  • Prepare scopes of work and supervise metering activities performed by external contractors.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Metering, maintenance and planning engineers, well performance teams, regulators, JV partners, and hydrocarbon customers.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or B.Eng. in a related engineering discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering or a related organization in a similar design position.
  • Working knowledge of ISA codes, IEC standards, AGA, API, and other international standards.
  • Experience or knowledge of metering maintenance, calibration, proving, and measurement reliability.
  • Nigerian nationality is required.
  • Strong commitment to HSE rules, contractor safety, environmental protection, and anomaly reporting.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and PDMS.
