Lead Software Engineer, Backend (C#)

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure systems and APIs for real-time applications used by millions of customers.
• Own the full development lifecycle, from feature architecture and workstream planning through implementation.
• Write high-performance, well-tested code and enforce standards for code quality, design patterns, testing, and system performance.
• Build and scale distributed applications and microservices in cloud environments, including event-streaming systems and non-relational databases.
• Triage and resolve complex production issues while driving operational excellence and system reliability.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering, shape the roadmap, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• At least 5 years of object-oriented backend development experience, including advanced C#, OOP, design patterns, and backend architecture.
• Experience architecting, building, and scaling distributed systems in AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing and comprehensive automated test suites.
• Experience with microservices, event streaming, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading code and design reviews, making technical decisions, and troubleshooting complex systems.
