Backend Software Engineer (Python)

hirify.global is a technology scale-up building a cloud-based SaaS Transport Management Platform for logistics companies. The platform supports order entry, planning, execution, billing, reporting, and AI-powered automation.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the core Transport Management Platform.
• Develop product features using Python, Django, GraphQL, Postgres, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud.
• Improve backend code, cloud infrastructure, architecture, and data flows to support reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and backend engineers to solve logistics challenges.
• Contribute to software used by thousands of customers across Europe.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of backend development experience.
• Ability to design scalable software and make pragmatic technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Growth mindset, user-first mentality, and willingness to share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience writing and understanding complex SQL queries in Postgres and Google Cloud BigQuery.
• Knowledge of distributed queueing systems at scale.
• Experience with large production Python codebases.
