Senior Mechanical Engineer – Equipment & Packages (WtX)

Location: Levice, Slovakia; hybrid work with home office possible 2 days per week. Willingness to travel to suppliers or project sites up to 10% of the time.

Salary: €3,000 gross per month minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual and basic engineering documentation for third-party equipment and in-house waste-to-X products.
• Issue RFQ and purchase-order technical specifications for equipment and packages.
• Lead technical negotiations, support supplier shortlisting and award decisions, and supervise supplier engineering through FIW and FAT.
• Coordinate interfaces with clients, consortium partners, other disciplines, and third parties while driving design freezes.
• Ensure supplier documents, engineering lists, and bills of quantities are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Resolve engineering issues, support claims and non-conformities, clarify construction and commissioning matters, and deputise for the Engineering Manager when required.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role on large EPC projects.
• Solid knowledge of WtX, RG, PtX, or carbon-capture plant products, equipment, and packages.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and codes, technical cost drivers, and engineering documentation processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English required. Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good MS Office skills and experience with engineering databases, document management systems, or 3D tools.

Nice to have

• Construction or commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
