Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Brazil) (Python/React/Fintech): Building scalable backend microservices, conversational interfaces, and mobile and web experiences for a chat-driven remittance platform with an accent on high-volume transaction processing, real-time messaging, and natural language interactions. Focus on architecting cloud infrastructure, improving chatbot experiences through customer feedback and analytics, and mentoring engineers while delivering reliable financial products.
Location: Remote in Brazil, currently fully remote with a planned transition to a hybrid setup; applicants should be based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.

What you will do
- Architect and implement scalable backend microservices, including core components of the chat platform.
- Build, deploy, and iterate on web, mobile, and conversational interfaces for remittance services across WhatsApp, web, and mobile applications.
- Design and manage infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
- Develop backend services using Google Cloud and established web-service standards.
- Use customer feedback and analytics to improve chatbot effectiveness and conversational usability.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications with real-world impact.
- Strong foundations in algorithms and data structures, plus experience with SOAP and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
- Experience or familiarity with Python, Flask or FastAPI, React, React Native, SQL, Redis, gRPC, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Upper-intermediate English or higher is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar technologies.
- Curiosity about or experience in fintech.
