TL;DR
Director, National Security Programs Development (Satellites): Shaping and capturing U.S. government opportunities for secure satellite communications with an accent on intelligence and special operations customers, proposal development, and government program analysis. Focus on building customer and industry partnerships, assessing competitive capabilities, and aligning Astranis satellite solutions with national security requirements.

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; willingness to travel up to 40% of the time. Bonus consideration for candidates based in the National Capital Region or San Francisco.

Base salary: $150,000–$225,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Build relationships with customers and partners in the Intelligence and Special Operations communities and support U.S. government sales activities.
  • Prepare talking papers, briefings, requirements-shaping materials, and responses to requests for information.
  • Lead and support capture, proposal management, volume leadership, and proposal writing activities.
  • Identify decision-makers and increase awareness of hirify.global solutions across U.S. government space communities.
  • Track government programs, budgets, Congressional actions, industry participation, and technical requirements.
  • Assess competitors, identify industry partnerships, and represent hirify.global at trade associations, coalitions, and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a hard science.
  • At least 8 years of experience in field operations, engineering, program management, corporate strategy, or U.S. government sales and business development.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. government intelligence and special operations communities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and motivation to develop product offerings for the U.S. government market.
  • U.S. citizenship or another eligible U.S. status is required.
  • Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance, a recently active TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to complete a counterintelligence polygraph are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a master’s degree in business.
  • Knowledge of satellites, national security space systems, architectures, missions, and SATCOM usage by field users.
  • U.S. government capture, proposal management, or acquisition experience.
  • Based in the National Capital Region or San Francisco.
