Freelance Analytics Technical Specialist

Location: Remote, based in Cape Town, South Africa; supporting client and in-market teams across the EMEA region.

What you will do

• Lead and independently execute analytics deployment projects.
• Design measurement frameworks aligned with client requirements and delivery best practices.
• Audit, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot analytics tags, data layers, and related solutions.
• Provide technical support, training materials, and expertise to clients and internal teams.
• Perform quality assurance, identify delivery blockers, and communicate risks or expected delays.
• Manage client expectations and share analytics industry updates across the delivery team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a technical analytics role, including leading deployment projects.
• Fluent English required.
• Experience with GA4 audits, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Google, Meta, and other tag implementations, including dataLayer audits and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Looker Studio, custom JavaScript, HTML, and measurement frameworks.
• Expertise in privacy initiatives, consent management platforms, and Consent Mode or Enhanced Conversions implementations.
