Sr. Eng/Asst. Staff Engineer- Product Competence (Mechanical Design & Testing)

What you will do

• Lead new product and product enhancement development from concept generation and feasibility assessment through detailed design, verification, and commercialization.
• Develop mechanical designs using engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, risk assessments, and design optimization.
• Plan and execute product testing and verification, including test methods, protocols, prototypes, laboratory setup, result analysis, and technical reports.
• Investigate product issues, perform root cause analysis, define corrective and preventive actions, and improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and quality.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking, technology research, and innovation activities to support future product development.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with R&D teams, suppliers, research institutions, and universities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of R&D experience involving new product design, testing and verification, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience planning, conducting, and evaluating proof-of-concept testing for mechanical design and product performance validation.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and design support to an R&D team.
