TL;DR
Sr Manager, SAP & MES (SAP S/4HANA/Siemens Opcenter): Leading the rollout, site readiness, and operational support of SAP S/4HANA and Siemens Opcenter MES for a new Costa Rica manufacturing site with an accent on manufacturing, warehouse, quality, supply chain, and regulatory systems. Focus on SAP-MES integration, validation, testing, cutover, go-live readiness, and building sustainable local application support.
Location: Heredia, Costa Rica. The role starts remotely during the launch of the greenfield site and transitions to onsite work once the facility is ready.

What you will do
- Lead IT delivery and site readiness for the Costa Rica SAP S/4HANA rollout across manufacturing, warehouse, quality, procurement, finance, and integration workstreams.
- Oversee SAP EWM, PP, QM, Inventory Management, Materials Management, master data, and SAP-MES integration.
- Lead Siemens Opcenter MES implementation activities, including requirements, design alignment, testing, validation, deployment, and hypercare.
- Implement Free Trade Zone solutions and integrate SAP, MES, labeling, shop-floor, reporting, and manufacturing applications.
- Direct testing, cutover, go-live readiness, incident management, change management, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Build the local IT support capability, mentor resources, and coordinate internal teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT experience supporting ERP, MES, manufacturing, supply chain, or quality systems in a global manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience with EWM, PP, QM, Inventory Management, Materials Management, and master data.
- Experience with Costa Rica Free Trade Zone solution setup and Siemens Opcenter MES or comparable manufacturing execution systems.
- Experience with SAP-MES integration, shop-floor execution, production orders, warehouse execution, quality inspections, device history records, and manufacturing traceability.
- Experience delivering ERP or MES rollouts through requirements, solution design, testing, training, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish fluency or strong business proficiency is preferred. A relevant bachelor’s degree is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with greenfield plant startup or global template rollout.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori, IDocs, middleware, RF warehouse execution, labeling, 3PL integrations, asset management, and shop-floor automation.
- Experience with Agile delivery, Jira, ServiceNow, validation lifecycle tools, or structured project governance.
- SAP, Siemens Opcenter, PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications.
