Senior Front-End Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: Hybrid in Reston, Virginia, United States; must live within commuting distance of Reston and attend onsite days during implementation and testing.

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver secure software applications for intelligence missions.
• Build and maintain frontend solutions using Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with integration to backend services and data sources.
• Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze and test software before launch while maintaining regular updates and security compliance.
• Collaborate on client requirements, user-story grooming, task breakdown, estimation, and Agile development practices.
• Support developer coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of software processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing distributed software applications.
• Experience with frontend technologies including Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Angular.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and frontend development tools such as ESLint, Vuetify, Vue Composition API, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack, Axios, VitePress, or TypeDoc.
• Strong knowledge of frontend microservices, API best practices, relational and NoSQL databases, Agile development, and secure software systems.
• Interim or active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
• Experience with Jest, Vitest, Jasmine, Python, Java, Webpack 5, Vite, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Keycloak, OAuth2, JWT, AWS, Azure, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Fortify, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience delivering customized software across multiple projects.
