Risk & Disputes Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Argentina; Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time

Salary: $800 USD per month; paid internship as an independent contractor

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within required timeframes.
• Work with fraud, disputes, operations, data science, and engineering teams to determine appropriate actions.
• Analyze transactions, account patterns, and data to identify fraud trends and improve loss prevention.
• Recommend improvements to dispute processes, tools, and operational mechanisms.
• Maintain service-level targets and handle internal and external escalations professionally.
• Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong business judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently after training and meet case-resolution deadlines.
• Must be able to work remotely from Argentina during the required Central Time schedule.
• Experience with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Experience working with transaction disputes, risk operations, or loss prevention.
