Fraud & Disputes Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Mexico; Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time

Salary: $800 USD per month as an independent contractor

A fintech and retail technology company providing interest-free installment plans and tools that help merchants increase conversions and order values.

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within required timeframes.
• Work with fraud, disputes, operations, data science, and engineering teams to determine appropriate case actions.
• Analyze account and transaction patterns using internal systems, policies, and review methodologies.
• Recommend improvements to loss-prevention processes, tools, and operational workflows.
• Maintain service-level agreements for queued cases and handle internal and external escalations professionally.
• Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous situations.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Availability for full-time work Monday–Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Time.
• Must be located in Mexico and work remotely as an independent contractor.
