Chargeback Operations Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Mexico; Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time

Salary: $800 USD monthly as an independent contractor

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within required timeframes.
• Work with fraud, risk, and customer disputes teams to determine appropriate actions for individual cases.
• Analyze transactions, account patterns, and data to identify fraud trends and improve decision-making.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss-prevention processes and tools.
• Maintain service-level agreements for queued cases and handle internal and external escalations professionally.
• Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Availability for full-time work Monday through Friday during Central Time business hours.
• Must be based in Mexico for this remote role.
