Software Engineer, C++, Level 5 (AR)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week under the default-together policy.

Base salary: $178,000–$266,000 annually in Zone C; other US pay zones range from $199,000–$297,000 and $209,000–$313,000. The position is also eligible for RSUs.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support LensCore features for Specs, hirify.globalchat Lenses, and Lens Studio.
• Optimize the LensCore AR engine for Specs.
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver features to Lens creators.
• Participate in feature planning and write technical specifications.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of industry experience developing with C++.
• BS in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Knowledge of Python or JavaScript scripting, Linux/Unix, and command-line tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted design and development from specification through implementation.
• Experience with rendering APIs, a 3D rendering engine, computer vision, sensors, or machine learning.

Nice to have

• Modern C++ experience and technical leadership experience.
• Experience creating developer-facing APIs and libraries.
• Knowledge of Qt, OpenCV, Eigen, or glm.
