TL;DR
Embedded Software Engineer (C++/Automotive): Building production software for the Wayve Driver across embedded applications, middleware, hardware abstractions, and sensor interfaces with an accent on automotive-grade C++, real-time operating systems, and platform adaptation. Focus on integrating NVIDIA and Qualcomm compute platforms, profiling and debugging performance-critical systems, and taking features from design through fleet validation and production deployment.
Location: Herzliya, Israel; hybrid working with in-person collaboration in office spaces, remote work, and hands-on work in vehicle workshops and labs.

What you will do
- Design and implement modern C++17/20 software for the Driver core and platform-adaptation applications.
- Develop embedded application and middleware software on Linux, QNX, and other real-time operating systems.
- Integrate and validate the autonomy stack on automotive reference platforms and internal fleet vehicles.
- Profile, trace, debug, and improve performance across application, middleware, and operating-system boundaries.
- Own features from design and implementation through testing, integration, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and customer programmes across Israel, the UK, and the US.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing high-performance production systems in modern C++.
- Experience developing application or middleware software on embedded Linux, QNX, or another RTOS.
- Understanding of middleware architectures and inter-process communication mechanisms.
- Experience in automotive, autonomous driving, or robotics, including vehicle development and sensor integration.
- Experience using profiling, tracing, and debugging tools to diagnose bottlenecks, latency, and complex system issues.
- Track record of owning software through design, implementation, testing, integration, and production support.
Nice to have
- Experience with hardware abstraction layers, device-driver integration, NVIDIA or Qualcomm automotive platforms, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, or MISRA.
