TL;DR
Solutions Engineer, Auth0 (Central - Enterprise Accounts) (IAM/Auth0): Developing and demonstrating identity and access management solutions for enterprise customers with an accent on OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, APIs, cloud platforms, and customer-specific use cases. Focus on planning proofs of concept, explaining complex security architectures, and collaborating with sales, engineering, product management, and customers during sales cycles.
Location: Remote, with the role associated with Chicago, Illinois and Texas; the compensation range also applies to candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, New York, and Washington.
Annual OTE: $152,000–$228,000 USD, including base salary and incentive compensation.

What you will do
- Partner with sales as the technical and domain expert for enterprise customer engagements.
- Understand customer challenges and deliver tailored product demonstrations for Okta and Auth0 solutions.
- Answer technical and product questions from customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Plan and deliver proofs of concept for complex use cases with support from engineering teams.
- Provide product enhancement feedback and share reusable solutions and best practices with other Solutions Engineers.
- Support executive briefings, conferences, user groups, trade shows, competitive analysis, and subject-matter-expert activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in identity and access management.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, lifecycle management, RBAC, and provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Hands-on development experience with web, mobile, backend, or IP-based real-time communications technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs, API gateways, SDKs, cloud platforms, and application security concerns.
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, whiteboarding, territory management, and architecture diagramming skills.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferred; approximately 25% travel is expected.
Nice to have
- Experience with Auth0, Auth0 FGA, or OpenFGA.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI or LLM technologies such as LangChain, GenKit, or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with microservices, data lakes, customer data platforms, ReBAC, or fine-grained authorization models.
