Senior Software Cloud Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid role in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: €65,600–€98,400 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive under the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Build and support platforms that make critical medical device data accessible to clinicians, health systems, and external partners.
• Develop Data Export and Data Access capabilities using industry-standard formats such as XML and HL7.
• Design and develop cloud-based services, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices.
• Deliver secure, scalable, performant, and reliable near real-time data services for clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience delivering software with .NET Framework.
• 2+ years of experience in a public cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• 2+ years of experience developing applications with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control and artifact tools such as Git and JFrog, SQL, and on-call support.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• Experience with monitoring stacks such as ELK, Dynatrace, or CloudWatch.
• Experience refactoring monoliths into microservices.
• Experience with BDD and Gherkin.
• Experience in a medical device company.
